This was a quick wayfinding i created on the computer using photoshop to show where the canteen letters will be hanging from to create the illusion look .

OUTSIDE DESIGN
Using the same design as the inside, i wanted to do the same outside. I wanted the outside design to be the same with the colors on the building. I did this because it all blended in better, and gave that edgy look to it .
I wanted to add more design to the inside building but also adding the cube chairs. I used black and white because of the colour of the chairs. Depending on the colour of the chairs i wanted the design on the walls and ceilings to reflect that.

CEILING PLAN USING PHOTOSHOP
Using photoshop, and playing around with fonts and how to emerge them somehow into the building, i started playing around with the letter "c". By using an effect called free transform, i started stretching out the letter "c" overlapping them and making them fit with the ceiling shape, which turned out into a design i am pleased with.

BUILDINGS IN DUBAI- ARCHITECTURE
The Burj al-Arab hotel in Dubai is the worlds tallest hotel. Considered the only '7 star' hotel and the most luxurious hotel in the world. It stands on an artificial island in the sea. The shape of the building stands out for me, its not a basic rectangle but the interesting sleekness of it is eye catching. Although it is curved it has a linear qualities and the structure looks very strong.
The Trump International Hotel & Tower, which will be the centerpiece of one of the palm islands, The Palm Jumeirah. This gob smacking building is unbelievable. The structure looks strong in shape. Theirs a mixture of anguar and curve shapes. I like the way that the bottom is two seperate buildings and gradually at the top it all becomes one and becomes an one unusual shape.
TBT SHOWROOM IN DUBAI
This is a creation of a new urban building in downtown Dubai. The 120 sqm site building is surrounded in a significant urban condition
to be explored.
The geometry of design allows provisional advancement of the building masses. Rather than a building design which starts out as an iconic object, the building comes to life and remains pure. The design for TBT showroom is a design of emergence giving a brief outlook on the building.
The surface panels, creates distinctive
openings patterns offering a constantly varying experience for observers inside and outside the building.

SVILEN GAMOLOV
When researching ideas for my the design i wanted to have for the building and interior , i came across a interior designer called Svilen Gamolov. His work struck to me because of its interesting composition and shape and elegant plain colours that still work well together for instance black and white.
Looking at his work for the interior design for the chairs i liked the idea of a chair similar to the shape of a box but also being able to add the colour which was themed around the building on the sides to blend in with the rest of the building.
I also found these chairs interesting. With the use of shapes to create a chair makes them look exciting to sit on. Not keeping the basic design of a chair but instead make it slightly different and give it the edgy look too the whole building.
When i googled cube chairs i came across this design but i couldnt find the designer. Made with polyethylene, it is a soft comfortable chair to sit on.
WAY FINDING
For the way finding my idea i wanted to have was to have floating letters hanging from invisible string to create the illusion look. Hanging from different lengths different words such as canteen, art, dance will be hanging from the ceiling in the main entrance.

ABOUT THE BRIT SCHOOL
The BRIT School is Britain's only FREE Performing Arts and Technology School. It is an independent, state funded City College for the Technology of the Arts, the only one of its kind dedicated to education and vocational training for the performing arts, media, art and design and the technologies that make performance possible.
As a school for 14-19 year olds, they are unique and pioneering in their approach to education, but they are not a stage or fame school. They recognise that most of our students intend to make a career in the arts, entertainment and communications industries, but the school expects all to follow full time courses to completion. It is a vocational school; if an applicant is determined on a life devoted to art, dance, music, radio, television/film or theatre.
They also pride themselves on providing an excellent general education that helps prepare young people for the future. They encourage their students to go on to specialist colleges and universities or into employment in the creative industries.
Theye also recognise that the technology of our title is essential for a complete education. They are formidable resources, to allow students to study in sophisticated environments equivalent to a modern workplace. BRIT stands for the British Record Industry Trust. Without the generosity of the record industry, the school would never have been built and our superb facilities would never have been installed. Furthermore they greatly benefit from the advice and support given to students and staff from our wide range of friends in the music and wider arts industries.
The school has a unique atmosphere of support and respect which helps cultivate the ability and talent of our young people. Students and staff have created an open, friendly, flexible yet rigorous approach to study. Our achievements at both Key Stage 4 and Post-16 in vocational and academic qualifications testify to our success, as do the range of successful ex-students now working and studying in the creative industries.

ZAHA HADID - ARCHITECT
One of my facourite achitectures Zaha Hadid, founding partner of Zaha Hadid Architects, is internationally known for her built, theoretical and academic work. Each of her dynamic and innovative projects builds on over thirty years of revolutionary experimentation and research in the interrelated fields of urbanism, architecture and design.
This is the CCTV Tower by OMA and is currently under construction in Beijing
Working with senior office partner Patrik Schumacher, Hadid’s interest is in the rigorous interface between architecture, landscape, and geology as the practice integrates natural topography and human-made systems that lead to experimentation with cutting-edge technologies. Such a process often results in unexpected and dynamic architectural forms. Her work is sharp and edgey and always makes an unoticable statement.
Opus by Zaha Hadid to be built in Dubai
Zaha Hadid Architects continues to be a global leader in pioneering research and design investigation. Collaborations with artists, designers, engineers and clients that lead their industries have advanced the practice’s diversity and knowledge, whilst his research and experiences have allowed him to understand technologies it has aided the realization of fluid, dynamic and therefore complex architectural structures.

CENTRE GEORGES POMPIDOU
Centre Georges Pompidou also known as the Pompidou Centre in English is a complex in the Beaubourg area of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, near Les Halles, rue Montorgueil and the Marais. It was designed in the style of high-tech architecture.
The Centre was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, the British architect couple Richard Rogers and Su Rogers, Gianfranco Franchini, the British structural engineer Edmund Happold (who would later found Buro Happold), and Irish structural engineer Peter Rice.
This interesting building is unique in its own way. The outside similar to a steel skeleton looks unfinished but is, the Centre Pompidou in Paris appears to be turned inside out, revealing its inner workings.

ADIDAS LOGO
Adidas Logo represents elegance, durability and without doubt represents a mark of the leading sports gear in the world.
The 3 striped Adidas logo was created by Adi Dassler, founder of Adidas. Adidas Logo was first used in 1967. Beginning with the production of training and sports foot wear, Adidas later expanded its production operations in leisure and apparel sector with the logo of adidas appearing on each product.

Beginning with the production of training and sports foot wear, Adidas later expanded its production operations in leisure and apparel sector with the logo of adidas appearing on each product.
The shape of 3 stripes on the Adidas Logo represents mountain, pointing out towards the challenges that are seen ahead and goals that can be achieved.
The colour black contrasts against the white making the logo stand out. Depending on the clothes theme choice of colour normally the logo reflects this. There brand identity have a strong meaning behind it people probably dont know about. The outlook of the logo is sharp and edgey and defiantly fits young people style and at the same time for a good moral behind it .
MCDONALDS LOGO
McDonalds Corporation has become synonymous with fast food and has become one of the largest chains of fast food restaurants in the world. The McDonalds logo has become a symbol of international business expansion and has been termed as ‘part of Americanization and American cultural imperialism' as it is closely identified with US. The famous Golden Arches in McDonalds logo represent style, significance and a strong corporate identity. It was created by Jim Schindler in 1962 and the idea was first introduced by Dick and Mac McDonald as arch shaped signs on the sides of their then ‘walk-up hamburger stand’. From an angle, those arches looked like the letter “M” and thus, were incorporated in the McDonalds logo as a merger of the two golden arches together. The “McDonald’s” name was later added to the McDonalds logo in 1968.
The two arches are recognisable as also a M. The simple graphic design is eye catching with the use of two shades, golden and red which is used in the McDonald’s logo to represent its bold nature .The red color is used to fill the background of the McDonald’s logo. Boldness, power and strong corporate image are truly reflected by the use of these two confident colors which captures the audiences mind.
COCA-COLA LOGO
Coca-Cola is the world’s most popular soft drink. Sold in more than 200 countries, it is produced by The Coca-Cola Company and is often simply referred as Coke. Originally intended as a ‘patent medicine’ when it was invented in the late 19th century by pharmacist John S. Pemberton as a ‘coca wine’, Coca-Cola has dominated the worldwide soft drink market for decades now. The Coca-Cola logo, like the product itself, is rated among the most recognized logo design and brands in the world. The first Coca-Cola logo was created by John Pemberton's partner and bookkeeper, Frank Mason Robinson, in 1885.
The red and white colour scheme in the Coca-Cola logo is simple and clear. What I think stands out to me is the use of typography as the text. When researching about the logo i came across the desription of it being "The red and white colored scheme in the Coca-Cola logo is kept simple and distinctive to lure young minds". I found it useful because it describes how the logo comes across and the whole point of the use of stylish typorgaphy which is readable and depending on the backround wether white or red the logo colour is opposite to them.
